Ladies Club Championships were contested last weekend two rounds in two days on the Woosnam first round second round on the Old. First round on the Woosnam and clubhouse leader was Maureen Hope-Watts with a score of 83 followed by Jo Pearce with 84 and Rosie Hockey sitting in third with a score of 86.
 
So all to play for in the second round on the Old Course, there was a good score out there in nice calm conditions and Georgie Turner did this with a respectable 85. Rosie Hockey then came in with a score of 78 to win the Championships. She was overall winner with scores of 86 and 78 to win by 3 2nd place was Maureen Hope-Watts and Jo Pearce in third five shots back, Jo would also take the Nett prize from the weekend.


 

Meanwhile on the Woosnam on the Monday the Woosnam Plate was being contested by 18 of our ladies. Stableford format and Naomi Tanaka-Ficken came in with a score of 32 points only to be beaten on countback by Angela Vinson also shooting 32 Pat Ralph and Elspeth Howell too both came in with scores of 30.

On Sunday the Rainbow Shield bogey competition was played on a nice calm sunny day on the Old Course. Format was essentially matchplay against the course, so who would come out on top? +9 were the winning score Bryn Pepper and Stuart Fowlie won the Shield on countback also, beating John Burgess and Nicholas Stallman.

The illustrious Top Dog final is upon with a midweek Stableford on the Old Wednesday 14th September with only a few Medals & Stablefords remaining every competition is worth fighting for.
