Well, that's Augusta done for another year and whilst the famous back nine didn't produce the type of drama it has done in years gone by, what a display it was!
We had our Masters Draw which Mr Chris Pugh managed to take by storm, winning £120 worth of vouchers to spend in the professional's shop.
Congratulations go to Jordan Spieth in winning The Masters; he made it look very easy from day one and seemed to be very much in control.
The Masters is normally the trigger for the season to start, a few of the club competitions are now on the notice board and the knock-out competitions have been drawn, there is no better time to be at the club than now.
There was much to admire about his game, but at the risk of boring you with a cliché, 'It's all about the short game'! Yes, he was long and accurate off the tee and his putting was fantastic. However, the shots slip away very quickly at somewhere like Augusta and it wasn't just Spieth who scrambled well when he had to; that final leaderboard was ultimately a list of golfers who, during the week, had that unerring ability to get the ball up and down time and time again.
