We would like to thank all the members for their support in our 180 holes challenge that took place on Thursday the 16th July.
Our day started 4.30am.
John,
Rosie and
Sam where greeted on the tee by
Margaret Rice-
Oxley and
Louise Simmons with bags of food and goodies to see us through the day.
Brian Betts was there to help us around our first round, and in the rain, and darkness we set off.
Our first round was on the Ian Woosnam course playing a Texas scramble format off the white tees, when finishing the Woosnam we moved to the Dale Hill course and then alternated between the two courses until our 10 rounds were completed.
Total number of Birdies - 110
Final Score for 180 holes - 109 under par
55 under par for the Ian Woosnam Course, 54 under par for the Dale Hill Course
The final hole was completed at 9.30pm, Sam driving it on to the final green, and then two putts for a final birdie and well deserved drink.
A special thanks to The Captain, who spent the day making sure we had a clear run around the courses.
Thanks to all members who came up to the club to support us throughout the day.
I am delighted to announce that when all sponsorship has been collect we will have raised £2994.50 for the Kent, Sussex and Surrey Air Ambulance.
